Very nice written tribute to Glenda. Wishing the very best for her and the project as both move forward!
Just before A2E..indeed. The excitement builds for presenters, attendees and PATINS staff. Even the Crowne Plaza is abuzz with anticipation. Yes, I know because I've been there to experience the thrill. The adrenaline rush of getting ready to prepare and present quality content in a way that is going to impact students in the most positive way. Finding new ways to turn the proverbial light bulb on. ACCESS, EDUCATE. Seeing smiles from the ones in which we so want to provide meaningful learning opportunities.
A2E 2019 has the potential to be the best of the best of PATINS Fall Conferences. The line up of National and Local Presenters is impressive. Four keynotes is a first, and sure to be memorable. Jen Conti, taking the lead as Event Manager, will put her inherent organizational skills to use to provide direction for all involved with a fresh and welcomed twist. Daniel and the PATINS staff take direction well at events (I've learned that too over the years). They are hard working professionals with big hearts. That is why A2E has worked well in the past and will continue to be a valuable event for educators and students overall.
Enjoy the ride this year everyone! Yes, I'll be cheering you all on from the sidelines.
PATINS will go on without Glenda but even as we move forward I will hear her echos and smile. She has left some very big shoes to fill. She will be missed for a very long time. Well said Martha.
I also look forward to the excitement of the A2E conference, but I also pause to take a back look. I have so many wonderful memories to look back upon with my colleagues that have either moved on or retired. Each one of you holds a special place in my heart and you are all missed!
